Teaching children about nutrition and healthy eating habits is crucial for their overall well-being and development. By instilling good eating habits early on, you can set them up for a lifetime of healthy choices. Kristine Deworocki has come up with an excellent solution to help speech/language pathologists, teachers, and parents help children achieve these healthy eating habits while teaching speech and language goals.

Visual Recipe Cards were created and designed by Kristine Deworocki. She is a speech-language pathologist, wife and mom who is passionate about using cooking as a way to support communication skills.  She hopes to inspire both kids and adults to have fun and create memories while cooking!

Visual Recipe cards are kid-friendly recipe cards with pictures representing all the ingredients, tools, and actions performed in each step of the recipe. Visual supports are valuable learning tools that help increase the understanding of language, encourage positive behavior, and provide structure and support.

They can easily be used in classroom settings, clinics, and of course, right in your own kitchen. Visual Recipe cards are perfect for SLPs, parents, teachers, educators and anyone who just enjoys cooking!

There are 48 recipes included within 4 categories including: Real Meals, Eat your Fruits & Vegetables, Snack Attack & Sweet Tooth. Follow this link to get some of the Freebies, particularly the S’mores on a Stick!

Remember, teaching children about nutrition and healthy eating is an ongoing process. Be patient, positive, and consistent in your efforts, and they will gradually adopt lifelong healthy eating habits. This will be made easier with the use of the Visual Recipe cards by Kristine Deworocki.

Thank you so much Lavelle for this amazing write up and opportunity! I’m so happy you are going to use the cards with your grandchildren. It’s truly such a great way to bond and make memories.
